WOW offers activities and educational programmes for children and schools in the neighbourhood to introduce them to contemporary art, artists and creative thinking processes in an accessible way. The creative workshops give children from Bos en Lommer a unique opportunity to discover their creative skills. It also offers the very special experience of working with top talent and performing in large venues.

In 2017, a lot of hard work was done to further expand these activities and collaboration with schools in the neighbourhood was intensified. WOW forms a connecting link between the schools and the art world and responds well to the schools’ need for more extra-curricular cultural activities.
Pilot projects such as Painting with Indigo, SoundLAB (with Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ), and Moving Stories (with Museum Het Rembrandthuis) were successful and will be followed up in 2018. See also the page Education where schools and other parties can see which programmes are on offer.
