Silkscreen printing with Irini Pigaditi

WHEN: Saturday 14 March 20:00

Irini Pigaditi will mak live silkscreens and she will print limited edition canvas tote bags with her art work. The exotic silkscreens is a collaboration with Amsterdams Grafisch Atelier (AGA) where Irini is a part of the printing team. AGA, is a DIY graphic studio in de Kolenkit neighborhood for artists and designers offering techniques ranging from etching to screenprint and digital printing. Irini is a fun of print and believes that in this post-digital age, digital technology is no longer a revolutionary phenomenon but a normal part of everyday life. Digital technologies are just transforming both the status and the role of printed materials. Print is liberating and will never die!

Later on she is opening her studio and exposing her private space to the public where you can meet her and have a look on how artists and designers are living at WOW, because Life Is Art! “I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.” (quote: Helena Bonham Carter).

IRINI PIGADITI is a Greek Graphic Designer with interest in visual rhetoric and storytelling. She works mainly on projects such as printed matter, web design and urban interventions. She design for art, culture, commerce, rock stars and friends. She is always looking for kindred spirits, commissions and other collaborations.
